πŸ‘†This is NOT how you get defined abs...

But core exercises are crucial for building overall core strength and properly executing all exercises.

Where do those chiseled abs come from?

They come from sticking to a fitness and nutrition plan that focuses on full-body muscle gain and fat loss.

Are you looking to improve your overall strength, endurance, and physical activity level?

Innovative Fitness is here to help you develop a plan that aligns with your goals and lifestyle.

If you’ve been training for 2 weeks and want to quit, read this first!

You're currently in the first foundational phase (weeks 1-3), when energy and soreness are the most impacted.

πŸ™ŒKeep going!

Weeks 4–6: You'll build your strength.

Weeks 8–12: You (and others) will start noticing visual changes because you didn't give up in that first phase.

If you want progress in your fitness journey, then you need to stick with it, even when you want to give up.πŸ’ͺ

We’re so proud of Mary for completing an Ironman race! πŸ’ͺ Let's learn more about her experience...

Q: Why did you want to enter the Ironman?
A: To push myself and prove that I was capable of doing the most challenging endurance event there is, something I once thought was impossible.

Q: What was the most difficult part of the process?
A: Following the fourth discipline: eating! Learning how to properly fuel became essential.
I also had to teach myself how to swim, relying heavily on YouTube videos and podcasts focused on swim form.
Riding a triathlon bike is very different from a road bike, and that came with a learning curve as well.

Q: How long did you have to train for?
A: I spent two months building a training base and then followed a structured training plan for six months.

Q: What did that training look like?
A: My peak training week included:
β€’ Monday: Interval run (1 hour 15 minutes)
β€’ Tuesday: Interval bike (1 hour 30 minutes)
β€’ Wednesday: Rest day
β€’ Thursday: Long run (3 hours 45 minutes)
β€’ Friday: Interval swim (1 hour)
β€’ Saturday: Brick workout (6-hour bike, 1 hour 45-minute run)
β€’ Sunday: Long swim (2 miles)

Q: Did you receive support for your community during the process?
A: Yes, I received an overwhelming amount of love and support from friends, family, and clients throughout the training process and the days leading up to the race!

Knowing in the back of my mind that they were tracking me during the race kept pushing me forward. That support made the entire experience incredibly special.

πŸ‘†If squats are hurting your back, this is why!

Remember, a straight back means not arched.

It's okay if your squat looks different from your fitness buddy's.
