Brainspotting...
Have you heard of it? It may sound strange, but it is one of the most amazing therapeutic techniques I use! Brainspotting is a direct but gentle approach that helps people integrate stuck thoughts, unpleasant memories, and faulty beliefs. Happy Autumn Equinox!
Fall is the perfect time to slow down and reflect on all we have to be grateful for. A truly transformative gratitude practice is to name 5 things you are grateful for each night while preparing for bed. Make sure they are different each night. The deeper you look for things to be thankful for, the more it will train your brain to be on the watch for these things throughout the day.

If you are struggling to find gratitude in life, reach out. I have a few openings in my practice and can provide referrals for other therapists as well.

Changes in daily life, even positive or expected changes, increase stress and impact daily functioning. Cultivating Gratitude

Studies have shown time and again that gratitude improves physical health and emotional wellbeing. Take a moment to reflect on a few things you feel gratitude for in this moment. Try to think of at least 5 things, and really notice the way gratitude makes you feel. Challenge yourself to spend a few minutes everyday writing down or talking about at least 3 things that fill you with gratitude that day. Feel free to share your list here!
