If the holidays feel a little chaotic, you’re not alone.

Your kiddo won’t remember the perfect plans, but they will remember how safe and loved they felt with you.

So, take the pressure off and lean into connection because that’s where the real magic is. ✨

You know that saying about not being able to pour from an empty cup? There’s truth in it, especially during the holidays. 💛

Parents work so hard to keep everything running, to make the season magical, and to support their kiddos through every routine change and sensory challenge. But you deserve care, too.

This season, try taking small pauses: breathe together with your kiddo, let go of the “perfect plans”, and give yourself permission to rest. These quiet moments help you show up with the calm, patience, and presence your kiddo needs most.

You’re not in this alone; we’re here when you need us.

Flour on the counter, frosting everywhere, and a whole lot of laughter, holiday baking is the perfect mix of fun and learning.

As you stir, pour, and decorate together, your kiddo is practicing motor skills, sequencing, language, and confidence… all without even noticing.

These are the moments that turn into “remember when?” stories, full of joy, connection, and so much learning woven in! ✨

This December, try something a little different: create a “success tree” at home. 🎄

The idea is simple: every time your kiddo has a small win or a proud moment, write it on a star and add it to the Christmas tree.

By the end of the month, you’ll have a tree full of their growth, a gentle, visual reminder of how much they’re learning, even during the holiday season.

It’s a meaningful way to pause, celebrate, and soak in the progress that’s easy to miss in a busy season.

The holiday season brings so many little chances to show kindness in action. ✨

Maybe it’s making a simple card for a neighbor, choosing a toy to donate, or helping bake treats for someone special. These tiny moments become lessons in empathy, generosity, and connection.

In ABA therapy, we build on these real-life moments by teaching kiddos how to notice emotions, practice sharing with confidence, and understand the joy their actions bring to others.

The holidays can be exciting, loud, and a little overwhelming for kiddos. One gentle way to support them is by creating a calm corner, a quiet space where they can reset, breathe, and feel completely grounded when everything around them feels busy.

Keep it simple by using soft lighting, adding a few favorite books, cozy pillows, and calming sensory tools. It doesn’t have to be perfect, just predictable, comforting, and truly theirs. 💛

This season is full of little sensory moments that invite us to slow down and explore the world with our kiddos.

Whether it’s twirling ribbons outside, crunching through autumn leaves, or feeling the shiny, soft, and bumpy ornaments on the tree, each moment is more than play; it’s learning in action! ✨

These simple textures, sounds, and movements help build language, motor skills, curiosity, and confidence. And most importantly, they create joyful moments of connection you’ll remember long after the season ends.

Remember, you don’t have to guide these moments alone. Our parent training and ABA support give you practical tools to help your kiddo grow with confidence.

Holiday plans can change quickly, and that can feel overwhelming for your kiddo. But a few simple tools can make all the difference when it comes to making the holiday season feel more predictable and calm.

Here are a few simple things that can help:
✨ Use a visual schedule to show what’s happening next
✨ Give gentle warnings before transitions
✨ Keep one or two routines the same each day

These strategies create comfort and reduce overwhelm. And if you’re looking for more ways to support your kiddo through the holidays, visit our blog for more practical ABA Therapy tips and guidance: https://buff.ly/oNZA99h

December often arrives with overflowing calendars and shifting routines. Schools close, holiday errands pile up, and everything feels a little louder and a little faster than usual.

But when you slow the pace, even for a moment, you begin to notice the small things your kiddo is doing every day. A new word. A shared smile. A tiny step toward independence.

This month especially, we invite you to pause, breathe, and take in the moments that make your family feel connected and grounded.

December is busy, but it can also be beautifully full of calm, joy, and the little wins that remind us just how far our kiddos have come. 💙

Behind every meaningful outcome is a strong team – and taking time to connect matters just as much as the work we do together. 🔥🍂

Our Terre Haute team enjoyed a cozy fall bonfire filled with laughter, warmth, and real conversation.

Moments like these remind us that when we care for one another, we show up even stronger for the families we serve.
