Lost some weight and now you’re stuck in a plateau even though you are trying so hard to get over it?

Here’s the thing.

The same thing you did to lose your first 20, 50, or 100lbs might not be the same thing you need to do to lose your next 20, 50, or 100lbs.

Just like whatever you do to squat 300lbs isn’t the same thing you’ll do to squat 500lbs.

And reaching 7 figures in your business will be different than the steps you took to get 6 figures.

Big changes require just that. For you to make big changes so you can get to that next level. No one achieved something great by staying the same all the time.

So if you’re feeling stuck with wherever you’re at and you’re still putting in the work, it’s probably time for you to change something.

Find joy in whatever stage you are at in your journey.

In a society where everything is a highlight reel, it’s so easy to get down on ourselves and nit pick at everything. Ever catch yourself with the common: ‘I’ll be happy when ______’

I’m stronger.
I lose weight.
My old jeans fit.
My butt grows.
I have no cellulite.

Replace that thought with ‘I’m not where I want to be just yet, but right now I’m happy that _________’

I’ve gotten stronger.
I’m healthy.
My arms looks great.
I’m a bad ass bitch.
I can eat foods that I love.

It’s okay to want to work on yourself. Just make sure to love yourself and be kind during the journey.

It’s Fridayyyy🤗 It’s a three day weekend for me (minus group class and working from home). Love one-on-one in person training but also love creating things. Really looking forward to putting some extra time into my business projects this weekend, and also relaxing. Then it’s a three day work week followed by 10 days off with a beach vacation😭❤️ Then back to the grind full time for awhile.
I used to work three jobs at a time for years. Nothing prepared me for being self employed. Biggest lesson I have learned is that you have to take care of yourself and take time off if you want your business to thrive. Burn out happens often so I try to prevent/help it when I can. I used to feel guilty taking time off of work for the longest time but now I see how necessary it is.

Five simple steps to make your health and fitness a priority if you have a busy schedule✨

Are you that person who is trying to do all the things- go to work, do projects, spend time with family and friends, do self care, etc. Then you’re left wondering how you could possibly make time to eat right and workout?

Girl, I got you. Here are my suggestions on what has worked for me and my clients with our crazy schedules:

1. Look at your schedule before the week starts, and block off time for your workouts where you can. Whether that is 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour. Will it work best in the morning, on your lunch break, or before bed? Whatever it is, BLOCK OFF THAT TIME so it can get done. Don’t let anything else come on during that time.

2. Block off time on your schedule for meal prepping. Don’t have hours to meal prep? Buy frozen or canned vegetables, bags of microwave rice, and frozen protein you can thrown in the oven and forget about until it’s ready.

3. Workout with a friend. That way you are getting in your social time + a workout. This also helps hold you more accountable and makes working out fun. Just make sure you are spending your time working and not over talking.

4. Workout efficiently. Do supersets and time your rest periods. Boom. You get more done in less time.

6. Decide that you are a person who makes health and fitness is a priority and make it so. If there is truly a will, there is always a way.

5. Focus on ENERGY MANAGEMENT over time management. Often times we feel like we have less time when we are not energized, hence- we perceive that there is no time to workout. If you are able to, try to get your workout in when you have the most energy during the day.

6. Decide that you are a person who makes health and fitness is a priority and make it so. If there is truly a will, there is always a way.
