This summer, employees of the rehabilitation, healthcare, and assisted living company, Miller’s Health Systems, are celebrating 60 years of service by the company to Indiana seniors. Originating in 1964, the Wallace T. Miller family had a vision to provide long-term healthcare for the aging. That vision became a reality when the family mortgaged everything they possessed to open the first Miller’s Merry Manor in the old Kosciusko County Home located on the outskirts of Warsaw, in north central Indiana.

In 2007, the Miller family helped to form a 100% employee-owned company by selling the real estate and operating companies and creating an ESOP, making the employees beneficial owners of Miller’s Health Systems. Today, the company employs a workforce of over 1,300 employees and operates 14 rehabilitation healthcare centers, seven assisted living communities, a therapy company offering in-house and outpatient physical, speech, occupational therapy, as well as two pediatric therapy clinics, a home healthcare company, and a luxury 55+ condominium community.

Congratulations to Tracy Fites on 20 years of service with Theracare! Tracy began working with us as a COTA in 2002. During her time with Theracare, she has cared for patients in several of our facilities and in home health. Tracy is a phenomenal clinician with a huge heart. She is a strong advocate and motivator for her patients and has enabled a countless number of people to safely return home after an illness or injury. Tracy, thank you for 2 decades of dedication and know that we appreciate all you do to make sure your patients receive the highest quality of care!

A belated congratulations to our President, Tina Robinson for her twenty years of employment with Theracare.

Tina began her employment with Theracare on July 17th, 2000. She has been a great role model for management staff and employees through her leadership, accountability and her commitment to ethical practices. Tina is a caring individual who truly has always emphasized putting the resident first when making decisions about running the company. Thank you, Tina!
In the year 2000, billboards were dominated by Destiny’s Child, Tiger Woods ruled the golf world, and the first episode of Big Brother aired! More important than any of those for the employees of Theracare, Tina stepped into the role of President and kept the company viable during the ever-changing world of rehab delivery services in long-term care. During her 20 years Theracare has continued to service long-term care facilities, began and operate an outpatient therapy clinic, provide contracted therapists to all settings, and provide therapy services to home health agencies. Once again, thank you Tina! We know we face the continuing challenges of health care services in the hands of good leadership!

Theracare would like to honor Wendy Cluck for her 20 years of service to Theracare and Miller’s Health Systems. Wendy has been an Occupational Therapy Assistant and a Therapy Department Coordinator in the Castleton and north Indy area for the past two decades, but really, she has been so much more. She is a compassionate person and therapist who has given her heart and soul for the residents, co-workers, and organization she has served. It would be impossible to enumerate the number of lives she has touched but suffice it to say that thousands have benefitted from her dedication, knowledge, leadership, and kindness – none more than a very grateful Theracare. Thank you for the past 20 years, Wendy. We are all looking forward to the next 20!
