🩺📚 Health, Preparedness, and Education in Albuquerque!

Residents at AHEPA 501 I & II Apartments in Albuquerque, New Mexico recently participated in several valuable educational and preventative programs designed to support healthy living and informed decision-making.

🔹 GEHM (Geriatric Education and Health Maintenance) Clinic
Steph, a nurse from the University of New Mexico College of Nursing, hosted the first of several planned health clinics where residents received wellness screenings and personalized health education.

🔹 “Be Red Cross Ready” Preparedness Course
Jaimi Mueller from the American Red Cross led a session focused on extreme weather preparedness and safety strategies to help residents stay informed and protected.

🔹 Medicare 101 Educational Session
Adolfo Guerra from the Senior Health Resource Center and Adrian Montes from Oak Street Health provided helpful information about Medicare, answered residents’ questions, and shared refreshments and educational materials.

Programs like these empower residents with knowledge, support preventive care, and strengthen community connections.

🌸💜 International Women’s Day Celebration in North Miami 💜🌸

Residents at AHEPA Senior Living of North Miami marked International Women’s Day with a special event sponsored by Las Mercedes Medical Center.

The celebration began with an informative presentation sharing valuable medical information to promote awareness and healthy living. Residents then enjoyed a lively game of Bingo, a raffle, cake, and refreshments — all while socializing and celebrating together. 🎉

It was a joyful gathering honoring the contributions and achievements of women. We extend our sincere thanks to Las Mercedes Medical Center for helping make this meaningful event possible for our community.

🏆📚 Jeopardy Showdown in Columbia, South Carolina! 📚🏆

It was Phase 1 vs. Phase 4 at AHEPA 284 Apartments in Columbia for a lively Jeopardy-style trivia showdown, sponsored by our local library!

Residents from both phases faced off in a spirited competition full of laughs, friendly rivalry, and impressive trivia knowledge. Phase 1 won the first round and reclaimed the trophy, which is now proudly displayed in their building’s entrance showcase. 🏆

Way to go residents — and thank you to our local library for bringing the fun and helping build community through a little friendly competition!

🩺📚 Informational Sessions in Hoover, Alabama! 📚🩺

Residents at AHEPA Daughters District One Apartments in Hoover recently participated in two valuable educational sessions focused on health and support services.

The United Way Area Agency on Aging presented information on the wide array of services available to seniors at no cost — empowering residents with helpful resources and guidance.

Residents also took part in an engaging “Ask A Nurse” session with retired nurse Ruth White, where discussions covered topics such as blood pressure, constipation, when to call 911, and other important health concerns.

These meaningful conversations help ensure our residents stay informed, confident, and connected. 💙

Residents at AHEPA 501 Phases I & II in Albuquerque, New Mexico gathered for another uplifting “Feel Good Friday” — an afternoon dedicated to socializing, sharing, and building community.

On this particular Friday, residents enjoyed ice cream sundaes while participating in thoughtful conversation around selected topics. The positive feedback was overwhelming, and everyone is already looking forward to connecting again soon.
