Total hip (THA) and knee arthroplasty (TKA) are increasingly being performed on an outpatient basis. I love it when patients ask me about healthy ways to help their injury or arthritic condition better without surgery. Peptides have become a hot topic as of late, especially BPC-157. I am asked about this supplement every week by patients.

https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC12313605/

I do not currently offer BPC-157 as an adjunct to treatment. I also do not currently recommend taking it based off of no available data to show it is SAFE for humans to consume regularly.

However, peptides are part of the next frontier in sports medicine and I look forward to hopefully finding that this is indeed a safe supplement to use for musculoskeletal health
