We focus on a strength-based approach, with an emphasis on education and empowerment. My name is Tracie Meyer, and I am a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with 11 years experience in Internal Medicine, and 23 years experience collectively in healthcare. I discovered my passion in ADHD after my two sons were diagnosed with ADHD, and then I was also diagnosed with ADHD later in life. This started my journey, working with multiple specialties including primary care and pediatrics, psychologists, therapists, and school systems. Even with all of these resources, I was left feeling inadequately prepared, overwhelmed, and poorly educated, unveiling the need for more ADHD specialists. This led me to devote myself to become an expert on ADHD. Through all this, I discovered how passionate I was about educating and supporting other ADHD families in need. Over time, I further advanced my practice, participating in specialty training under WatersEdge Psychiatry in Dallas Texas, and obtaining certification as an ADHD specialist. I am eager to share my knowledge with families like your own. ADHD Life focuses on a strength-based approach, with an emphasis on education and coaching. The end result to empower patients with the skills needed to thrive in all aspects of life. This process includes functional education on ADHD, options for medication management, thoughtful considerations to helpful modifications and accommodations, screening for learning disabilities and other neurological disorders that my mimic ADHD, and more.
