Erectile Dysfunction, or ED, is a fairly common problem. It is the inability to get and/or keep a firm er****on. If ED persists, it can:

- cause stress
- affect self-confidence
- lead to relationship problems

Stress, mental health problems, and physical conditions involving the brain, hormones, emotions, nerves, blood vessels, and muscles can lead to ED.

Some of the more common physical causes of ED include:
- heart disease
- blockage of blood vessels
- diabetes
- obesity
- prescription drugs
- alcoholism and substance abuse
- previous pelvic surgery
- low testosterone
- sleep disorders
- neuro conditions such as MS and Parkinson’s

Some of the more common mental health causes are:
- stress
- anxiety
- depression
- relationship problems

Prevention of ED focuses on ensuring you don’t get the above or you manage them well if diagnosed. Treatment involves multiple options which we can go into later…stay tuned!
