What an incredible week we’ve had celebrating National Skilled Nursing Week here at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center! Each day was filled with heartfelt appreciation, joyful moments, and meaningful connections as we honored the dedication, compassion, and hard work of our nursing staff.

Our grand finale was a festive Luau, bringing a burst of tropical fun to our facility. Residents and staff alike enjoyed the vibrant decorations, upbeat music, and the delicious food that added flavor to the celebration. A special thank you goes to the Activity Department for generously providing popsicles for our residents—your thoughtful gesture was much appreciated! We also extend our gratitude to Melinda from ACG Hospice for treating our hardworking staff to refreshing popsicles as well.

From start to finish, the week has been filled with love, joy, and laughter. It was a time to reflect on the incredible service our nursing team provides every day and to celebrate the heart and soul they bring to our center.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this week such a success. We are grateful for our team and the supportive community that surrounds us. Here’s to continuing to care with compassion and to many more celebrations ahead!

We continued our joyful celebration of National Skilled Nursing Week with even more festivities and heartfelt appreciation for our dedicated staff and beloved residents.

Medi Home Hospice graciously provided ice cream for all staff members—an appreciated and refreshing treat! A special thank you to Alyson for coordinating this thoughtful gesture.

Adding to the sweetness of the celebration, our Kitchen Manager, Anon, prepared a delicious assortment of pies that were enjoyed by our residents during the grand celebration event.

The highlight of the day was a lively performance by the talented Mr. Joey Knott. Residents clapped, danced, and sang along with Joey, filling the room with joy and energy. His music brought smiles to many faces and created lasting memories for all.

It has truly been an amazing week—filled with love, laughter, and community spirit as we continue to honor and celebrate the wonderful individuals who live and work in our center.

A big thank you to First Choice Home Health Agency for generously supplying an assortment of delicious bagels for the staff at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Today was made even more enjoyable by the creative and spirited staff who dressed up as senior citizens. Their costumes brought smiles and laughter throughout the building, making it a truly fun and memorable day.

Residents at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center enjoyed a festive and colorful celebration in honor of Cinco de Mayo (May 5th). The event was filled with cultural flair as residents sampled a variety of delicious Mexican desserts and drinks, adding a sweet and flavorful touch to the day.

Lively Mexican music filled the air, creating a joyful atmosphere as residents tapped along to the rhythms and posed for photos wearing a traditional sombrero. Smiles and laughter were shared all around.

Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican army’s victory over the Second French Empire, led by Napoleon III, at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. It was a fun and educational event that brought everyone together in celebration of history, culture, and community!
