Today at Dedicated Family Care we celebrated International Migrants Day by holding another immigration clinic all day at the clinic!

International Migrants Day (IMD) is observed on 18 December, reaffirming the need for safer, more inclusive, and fairer migration systems in a rapidly changing world. Despite its proven benefits, migration remains poorly understood, and systems often lack the investments, partnerships, and evidence needed to respond to today’s realities.

We hope that our efforts will help those migrants in our communities! Thank you to my amazing staff who helped all the patients who came through our doors feel welcomed!

Thank you American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP)! I was so honored to be named the DPC physician of the year this year! And on this, the first national DPC physician day, I want to reiterate that DPC is not just for the healthy and wealthy! As more patients struggle with the cost and lack of access to primary care there are other options. So proud of the care my team provides to patients from all walks of life!

Our new physician, Dr. Aimée Wattiaux, hasn’t officially started in clinic yet and is already showing her dedication to our clinic and . She was at Mercado Hidalgo LLC with us for a health fair, she was Walk With A Doc with us, and now she was at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health for the Family Medicine Interest Group meeting where we were able to introduce medical students to the concept of .

It’s that time again! Walk With A Doc this Saturday Sept 6, 2025 at 9am at McKee Farms Park! Back to wearing a fleece as the mornings cool down and fall is in the air! Look for nurse Ingrid Siles Ortiz at the walk as I will be celebrating my parents’ 55th wedding anniversary with them this weekend!
