Thursday mornings are salon day on the Agrace Madison Inpatient Unit! Thanks to the dedication of Beth Anderson (first photo, left), a Cost Cutters stylist and manager who has been serving our patients with compassion since 2014, patients can enjoy personalized hair services that go far beyond the haircut.
Beth is supported by three incredible volunteers—Jean (first photo, right), Sally (second photo) and Rosanne (third photo)—who assist with scheduling, transporting patients and ensuring salon visits are comfortable and dignified. When patients aren’t able to make it to the salon, the team brings the service right to their rooms with the same level of care.
“I love the authentic space that time at Agrace creates for patients, loved ones, staff and volunteers,” Jean says. That spirit is echoed by Sally, a retired RN and longtime volunteer, who joined the salon team in 2022. She cherishes the joy of “seeing the smiles and gratitude on a client’s face after their hair is styled.”
