Hospice care is almost always covered by Medicare, Medicaid or private insurance—so patients and families can focus on comfort, not cost. For those without coverage, Agrace offers assistance through our Care for All program to ensure everyone has access to the care they need.

Growing up in Madison, Lucie and her brothers, Jim and Davy, shared summers filled with camping, fishing and laughter.

But when Davy was diagnosed with schizophrenia at 16, life changed. Lucie became his guardian as an adult and spent much of her adulthood as his caregiver.

Years later, when Davy developed lung cancer, Lucie turned to Agrace for help. “With Agrace, I always felt like they were right there with me,” she says. “They thought of everything—and made sure he was comfortable.”

Thanks to Agrace, Lucie could let go part of being her brother’s caregiver and simply be his sister again.

This holiday season, you can help families like Lucie’s find that same comfort and peace. When you give to Agrace before December 31, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar—up to $100,000—thanks to the Donald W. and Margaret M. Anderson Foundation.

Read Lucie and Davy’s full story and donate now at Agrace.org/LightUp.
