Why do I coach?

It’s because I see the potential in so many women that don’t yet see it in themselves.

And it’s not that they need me to pull it out of them.

They just need someone to believe in them enough.

To show them what they are truly capable of.

And that is why my clients are so successful.

It’s because I don’t just hand them protocols & hope they succeed.

I teach them the life skills necessary to become the version of themselves they truly desire. To set the bar higher.

✅DM me the word “VITALITY” and let’s start a conversation on what this could look like for you 🩵

We all start our health and fitness journeys for a different reason. But most of us start because we want to change something about ourselves.

But really, most of us just want to feel something.

We want to feel more loved, or more accepted.

We want to feel like we belong.

Because we think if we are physically attractive enough, it will create a sense of connection we’re currently lacking.

And here’s the thing, having a physique goal is never a bad thing. Wanting to lose weight isn’t a bad thing. Wanting to gain muscle isn’t a bad thing.

But wanting to do it because we want to change something deep within ourselves that we can’t truly change is.

We all want to feel loved, accepted, and valued.

But as I’ve grown, I’ve realized a few important things:

1️⃣ It doesn’t matter how much you try to change what’s on the outside. If you never work on the inside, nothing will change.

2️⃣ True connection isn’t just physical. I know you want a great b***y because you think your man will “love you more” or you’ll finally find your dream man. But trust me girl, that shii don’t matter if you haven’t done the real work.

3️⃣ As much as we want the gym to heal our wounds, it wont. You have to do the mindset work, the self-reflections, the getting-so-real-with-yourself-you-cry work too.

4️⃣ Health and fitness is meant to enhance what we already have. We don’t need to change everything about ourselves. We don’t need to hate the way we look. We need to learn that we take care of our bodies because we LOVE them, not because we hate them.

I used to think that if I did all the things right—ate well, worked out, slept great, maintained my stress, I would finally be able to find love.

And I realized I wasn’t looking for love from someone else, I was looking for it from myself.

Let’s talk about Vitality (not the program, but what it means to me)…

In definition, vitality is the state of being strong and active, of having energy. It’s to have mental or physical vigor.

But to me, vitality is something I found within myself. It was something I always had, but lost.

Something I’ve realized is that as we age, it becomes easier and easier to lose the vitality within ourselves that we once knew by heart as a kid.

We lose that light of joy we had to wake up each morning with curiosity and excitement on what the day ahead of us holds.

As kids, we would’ve done anything to play outside just 10 more minutes when our parents called us in to eat. Now we have to force ourselves to get just 10 minute of sunlight a day.

As kids, we loved making fun creations in the kitchen and pretending we’re little chefs. Now we say we hate cooking and opt for take-out too easily.

When we were kids, we ran, and rode our bikes, and climbed trees, for adventure, and we felt free. Now we run and lift to look better, and feel trapped.

As we get older, we learn that we need to workout to look good, not feel good. We need to eat healthy to look good, not feel good.

There’s so much emphasis put on how we look, and none on how we feel.

And so we start to despise it all. We forget about the things that once gave us life.

We get caught in a never-ending cycle of the things that we think we need to live, but drain us. And wonder why we lost that light of joy to wake up each morning.

And so to me, vitality means re-igniting my inner child. To live the life I once knew, so excited to move, and eat, and connect, and just BE.

With energy, and excitement, and pure love for who I am and the life I live.

PSA: YOU CAN BE A BADDASS AND ALSO BE FEMININE

My identity as a woman is something I struggled with greatly the past 3-4 years of my life.

And it’s because of a major shift in what I choose to identify with.

My WHOLE life, I identified as a ballet dancer. I was 2 when I started, and danced up until 18.

And because of this, I strongly identified with my feminine side.

But also as someone who was “nice” to everyone, let others tell me what to do, and who I should be, and was the biggest “yes” girl you’d have ever met.

And it wasn’t authentic.

Out of high school, I fell in love with strength training—literally lifting heavy a$$ weights, GRINDING.

And this brought out a new side of me I hadn’t known before—the side that could do hard things because I wanted to, say no to others, and decide who I wanted to be.

And finding this new side to me made me question who I was.

It made me question whether or not I would still be seen as girlie because I ALSO enjoyed something that society considered more masculine.

I questioned whether or not I was good enough for my partner—if I needed to be into more “girlie” hobbies.

And here’s what I learned:

You can be a complete badass in one area of your life—whatever that may be for you—and you can ALSO enjoy your more feminine energy.

Weight lifting doesn’t even make you “manly”. AT. ALL.

It makes you strong, resilient, and determined. It makes you more disciplined, and more confident in who you are, simply because you’re proving to yourself that you can do hard things.

Wonder if your partner will support you investing in yourself? Mine did 100%, swipe to see why ➡️

You probably think coaching is just for your physical health, or take it a step further and you think it’s just about personal growth, but let me tell you, it’s had a HUGE impact on my relationship too.

If you’re on the fence about taking that leap into coaching…I get it. It’s scary making a decision that could change your life forever.

Whatever is holding you back from making that decision might be what’s holding you back in your relationships too.

And trust me, the view from the other side is worth it 🩵

Let’s take a look at a common fitness myth ➡️

Ever feel like you’re hitting your workouts religiously and still not seeing the results you were promised?

You’re told to “feel that fat burning off your thighs, keep it up!”, and then you go home and wonder why the fat isn’t burning off your thighs after 6 months of consistently going to your HIIT classes.

If this is you, it might be time to reassess your approach, and take a look at your lifestyle factors too.

There’s a time and place, and even a certain type of person most suited for HIIT. But if your goal is to build muscle and lose the extra belly fat, and you feel like you’ve tried everything & nothing works, then this might be the culprit.

In my opinion, this is a good activity to do regardless of where you’re at in your health/fitness journey. It may help bring light to why you want to start on a new goal/journey, or remind yourself of why you are doing what you do, and remind yourself why you love it. But in the end, make sure you’re doing it for you, and no one else.
