Getting ready for the big 50 - I’ve been feeling really “harsh” in my expression for a while now and even with my regular Botox it still felt like something was missing so I decided to try my DAOs! So of course I called the very best, Ali Redwine, NMD Aesthetic Injection Specialist and she said “Let’s do it!” So we did! This was about 10 days ago and I’m feeling softer and am getting compliments already!

Why inject the DAOs? What are DAOs?
DAO stands for the depressor anguli oris muscle. This muscle pulls down the outer corners of you mouth. By injecting just a few units of tox carefully into these muscles it can soften a downturned mouth and make it easier to have a resting smile.

I’m keeping this in my routine moving forward which officially puts me into the 50+ club - 50+ units of tox that is!!!

Part of my “preparation to turn 50” is more intentional time to decompress and reset daily and a little sun exposure is healthy for you and your skin but do it with intention. I always prepare first by applying a high quality antioxidant first so I have cellular protection and then I plan my time so I don’t “accidentally” end up sitting out for any more than 15 minutes before I go in, cool my skin and then apply SPF before returning to the sun. Our bodies need and love the outdoors and sun but we must do it with care and the right mindset.
