Dr. Mark D. Mellinger is a fellowship-trained orthopedic hand, wrist, and elbow surgeon who has been caring for patients at Northern Arizona Orthopaedics for over 20 years. He specializes in treating upper extremity conditions including fractures, tendon and ligament injuries, sports-related injuries, and nerve disorders, helping patients return to the activities they enjoy.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Mellinger enjoys wake surfing, hiking, fishing, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and riding his motorcycle. He also values quality time with his family watching movies, playing board games, grilling, making pizza, and spending time with his dogs Jude, Roo, Kobe, and Bo. Today, we are proud to recognize a special milestone for one of our certified physician assistants. Greg Harris, PA-C, is celebrating 20 years with Northern Arizona Orthopaedics (NAO).

Since joining NAO in 2006, Greg has made a meaningful impact on both our practice and our patients. From his work in physical medicine and rehabilitation to leading our ultrasound-guided clinic, his commitment to individualized, thoughtful care is clear. Patients consistently share how much they value the time, attention, and compassion he brings to every visit.

Over the years, Greg has worked alongside several physicians and currently partners with Dr. Ryan Zate, remaining a steady and trusted presence for patients and colleagues alike. Known for his strong work ethic and team-first mindset, he always gets the job done.

Outside of the clinic, Greg enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and cheering on their son at Arizona State University.
