A new birth collective started in Flagstaff recently, expanding options for families in northern Arizona. The Flagstaff Birth Collective is starting its third month after opening Dec. 1.

In case you are new to my page, here's a little about my background. I absolutely LOVE what we are creating at Flagstaff Birth Collective!

Meet our practitioners!!

Elizabeth “Betsy” Decker, D.C. CACCP

Betsy is a chiropractor with specialized training in prenatal, postpartum and pediatrics. She joins Flagstaff Birth Collective after practicing in Boulder, CO and Sitka, AK.

Betsy’s path to becoming a prenatal/pediatric chiropractor began when her sister experienced benefits from chiropractic care during her first pregnancy. Betsy attended all 3 of her sister’s births both as a sister and as a doula. After completing her undergraduate degree in Biology from SUNY Geneseo, she attended New York Chiropractic College and graduated with honors in 2000.

While practicing in Boulder, CO she received specialized post-graduate training and certification in prenatal, postpartum and pediatric care (CACCP) from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. This extensive training included specialized care and safe, gentle techniques for treating children, from newborns to teenagers. The prenatal training included techniques to help prepare and balance the pelvis for birth, the Webster Technique, and the care of specific conditions or discomforts that can occur during pregnancy and post-partum. She also contributed research data that was published on the topic of the safety and efficacy of prenatal chiropractic care. She became trained as a doula in 2005 and is currently a birth doula with Flagstaff Doulas.

In 2018, Betsy’s husband‘s career as a National Park Ranger, moved them from Sitka, Alaska to Flagstaff, Arizona. They love the outdoor lifestyle and have enjoyed exploring all the surrounding beautiful places.

Betsy is excited to be a part of Flagstaff Birth Collective’s team and to support families with collaborative wellness care.

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that reimagines a world built upon shared humanity and radical generosity.

Consider supporting pregnant families in Northern Arizona receive the support they need to have positive birth experiences. The Non-profit Flagstaff Birth Support Fund helps connect under resourced families with childbirth education and doula support from Flagstaff Doulas.
We have two big goals:
1. To raise 1,000.00 to support under resourced families during pregnancy and labor with education and doula support.
