Millennium International Textile, Inc. and NJ Clothing Drive are proud to support the NJDEP Air, Energy and Materials Sustainability green shopping initiative. Check out their tips on shopping green and embracing second-hand style. By donating gently used clothes, you're giving garments a second life and reducing textile waste. ♻️

Next time you are thinking of shopping, check this list to see where you can be saving!

🌿 Ask yourself if the item is built to last. The more durable a product, the less likely you will have to replace it.
🌿Ask yourself if it is a reusable item. Reusable items save you from needing to make a repurchase and limit items going into the waste stream.
🌿Ask yourself if you can buy it used. Used items are often less expensive and just as good as new. Check out your local consignment shop!

"What do you accept?"

That's a great question that we often get asked by our fundraising partners. Visit our website https://njclothingdrive.com/accepted-items for a list of items we do and do not accept. Basically, used clothing that is in good, usable condition -- nothing wet, moldy, stained, torn, or that has an unpleasant order 🤢. We do not shred anything (such as for car wash rags, etc.).

"How do you accept donations?"

Another great question! We ask that donations are in 13-gallon white kitchen bags -- avoid the large, black yard bags as those get too heavy! Save those bags for lighter items such as stuffed animals 🧸(14" or under please) or comforters.
