Optimal Family Chiropractic, LLC & MT. Olive Weight Loss, LLC Gentle chiropractic care for the entire family. Dr. Brenda L. Rooney has been a chiropractic patient since she was diagnosed with scoliosis as a teenager.

Dr. Rooney has always been involved in athletics and nutrition including competitive equestrian riding and competitive bodybuilding. She is an expert in all areas of chiropractic care including pregnancy

care, pediatric care for children with ear infections and allergies which can include food or seasonal allergies. Dr. Rooney's practice treats patients with sports injuries, scoliosis, all types of headaches, neck and back pain, and conditions of the upper and lower extremities that can cause pain. Her chiropractic treatments do not include surgery or medications, which means you will be offered alternatives that are non-invasive, hands-on and effective. Dr. Rooney has incorporated digital x-rays into her practice. In addition to traditional adjustments, treatments may include physiomodalities. Physiomodalities are Electrical stimulation and Ultrasound. A combination of both may be utilized. She also specialises in different types of soft tissue techniques. Soft tissue techniques include Myofascial Release Technique, Active Release Technique and Trigger-Point Therapy. Dr. Rooney has incorporated rehabilitation and nutrition into her patients' treatment plans to strengthen, stabilize and improve the patient's overall wellness. Dr. Rooney attended The County College of Morris in New Jersey to receive her Associate of Science degree in May of 1997. She attended the University of Bridgeport as an undergraduate where she obtained her Bachelor of Elective Studies degree in 1998. She continued her studies and received her Doctorate of Chiropractic in May of 2001 from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. She continues her postgraduate education by participating in courses, seminars and workshops on chiropractic care, Motor Vehicle Collision and insurance changes. Dr. Rooney is a member of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC), American Chiropractic Association (ACA) and the Kiwanis Club of Mt. Olive, NJ.
