Update - Temporary Closure

Cleanup of the downed trees at Huron Valley Cemetery is still in progress. Due to the weather and expected high winds over the next couple of days, work will be paused for safety.

At this time, we anticipate resuming tree removal on Thursday.

The cemetery will remain temporarily closed until the cleanup is completed and the grounds are safe for visitors.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding and will provide updates as work continues.

Temporary Closure Notice

Due to several large trees that have fallen, Huron Valley Cemetery is temporarily closed for safety.

High winds are expected to continue today, so tree removal will begin once conditions are safe, with cleanup planned to start tomorrow.

Please avoid entering the cemetery until further notice. We will post an update when it is safe to reopen.

Spring cleanup at Huron Valley Cemetery begins this week.

Please remove any items you wish to keep before cleanup begins. Items not secured to the monument may be removed by maintenance.

At the end of the month, families may place items that comply with our cemetery rules and regulations.

Spring clean up at the cemetery begins the second week of March, marking the end of a long, cold, wet winter. This is a gentle reminder to remove any personal items or decorations that you wish to keep before clean up begins. This bi-annual clean up is an opportunity to refresh the area and prepare for the regrowth of the surrounding landscape. We look forward to the rebirth that a new season brings.
