It was a privilege to be a part of this coordinated mission to support some of our region's most vulnerable populations. Safely evacuating 90 residents and relocating them across multiple locations was a Herculean effort. All agencies and facilities involved did an amazing job.

This past Friday, our HPC provided an overview of MAHPC's Response to Hurricane Helene for NC400 State Medical Assistance Team and the Central Carolina Healthcare Preparedness Coalition. We appreciate the opportunity as well as the partnership during storm response and recovery.

Mission Health UNC Health Pardee Morning well spent in a Stop the Bleed Train the Trainer Course held at the MAHPC Regional warehouse. A huge thanks to Mission Hospital Trauma Services for providing the training. 20 new individuals added as trainers!

1 Month ago, the largest whole-of-community response in history commenced to respond to the worst disaster in the Old North State’s history. Neighbors helped neighbors, first responders conducted heroic and unthinkable life-saving missions, churches and schools sheltered their community, and state and locals worked together as one team with one mission.

1 Month ago, in the midst of unspeakable tragedy, North Carolina made the decision that while we may have been knocked down, we will get back up and stand taller than we ever have before.

Strong work continues across the MAHPC region! No site setup pictures today but like the Waffle House, the State Medical Response is open for business. There are now four Community Care/Field Aid Stations up and operational - supporting communities without direct access to healthcare infrastructure. One team. One Mission.

Good things continuing to happen in WNC. MAHPC, PHPC, CAPRAC and NCOEMS established a field medical aid station today to support some of the remote communities in Mitchell County. One Team. One Mission.

Strong work continues across our region! Yesterday, MAHPC and NCOEMS established a field aid station in an isolated community whose closest hospital is now 2 hours away in Tennessee. Similar setups to follow in other remote areas.
