Evans Retirement Community is more thankful than we have ever been before. After the last 711 days of our residents and staff fighting the obstacles that covid has thrown at us, we have continued to have 0, YES ZERO CASES of covid in our building. We would like to give a big shout out to our staffs dedication to our residents and to our residents for staying covid-19 negative throughout this pandemic. This has been a tough two years for everyone, including our Evans Retirement Community Family. But our residents are smart, determined, caring and strong individuals who have been sticking together, just as family should. Our Team from day one, went above and beyond enacting new cleaning and safety measures to ensure that our residents stay safe and healthy. I would like to give a shout out to our residents families as well. When our residents have required health related visits off-campus, they have taken their loved ones and our other residents health seriously, by following the recommended social distancing guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE to ensure everyone stays safe and healthy. We appreciate our medical professional partners for continuing to provide the highest level of care to our residents. We would also like to say thank you to our team's families. They have had to make sacrifices in their own personal lives to ensure that their family member stays healthy, so they can be here when I residents need them most. These last two years has definitely been crazy, but it has shown one thing. The Evans Retirement Community Family is strong and together our residents and Team members can accomplish anything!

It’s Glaucoma Awareness Month! What’s glaucoma? It’s a group of diseases that can damage a nerve in the back of your eye called the optic nerve. The optic nerve is the part of the eye that sends electrical signals to your brain so you can see. If left untreated, glaucoma can cause permanent vision loss or blindness.
