Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine
Veronica is a graduate of Tian Jin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. Having completed a three year Chinese Medicine program, including a three month internship in China, she was awarded the Diploma in Acupuncture. She then completed her Master’s level program at the Eastern School of Acupuncture and Traditional Medicine in Montclair, New Jersey. While there, Veronica spent a year treating patients in the student clinic and was among the first group of interns to bring acupuncture to the VA Hospital in East Orange, New Jersey. Her post-graduate work included seminars in pediatrics, autism and ADHD, infertility, scalp acupuncture in the treatment of stroke victims, and in MeiZen Cosmetic Acupuncture, which was recently featured in “O”, the Oprah Magazine. She is licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania through the State Board of Medicine based on NCCAOM board examinations. Prior to her formal acupuncture training, Veronica practiced Shiatsu,Qi Gong and Reiki for several years in the Philadelphia area and in Kuwait where she lived for five years. She was also awarded a Second Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do which she taught for fifteen years to adults and children. Veronica has presented programs for groups such as Rotary International, the Autism Society of Berks County, the Brandywine Heights School District’s gifted program, and at various health fairs, and writes the “Ask the Acupuncturist” column for the Merchandiser newspaper’s monthly “Health, Mind and Spirit” section. In 2015 she was elected to the Board of Directors of the Association for Professional Acupuncture in Pennsylvania.
