Some lab results came back and show that I have another UTI. I can usually tell when I get one so I had went to my local doctor and had my urine tested but it came back clear so I wasn’t worried about anything.

I have a full day of appointments in Cincinnati on Wednesday so hopefully I will just get sent home with medicine and not have to be admitted again. Wish me luck!

I had a fun filled day with Taytum & Paxton yesterday in Cincinnati. Taytum is doing a great job at driving on the interstate (better than around here).

I always felt like a burden when anyone wanted to drive me but I’m trying to live more like AJ & live in the moment. I’m trying to be more present with everyone & working on my overthinking.

AJ would be completely exhausted but demand he was going to drive me to my appointments when he was home. I’m so glad I have those memories to look back on. What I wouldn’t give to have him here with me again.

Justin is still in surgery so Leigh Anne & I are patiently waiting to hear from the doctor. Hoping this will relieve some pain for him.

I received a great report from the heart doctor this morning. Of course he doesn’t approve of how much weight I have gained & told me I really need to start working on losing weight. He was surprised at how much better my reports/test results were this time. It amazes me how many things have improved since the kidney transplant. I am so thankful!

I finally got to spend some time catching up with AJ as he drove me to my appointment in Cincinnati Wednesday. My labs are decent but could always improve and I need to start drinking more water. You get so used to a limited liquid intake on dialysis, so it’s hard to drink so much now. I’m finally at the point that I see the doctor every two months with labs a week before which I am so excited about! Thank you for the continued thoughts and prayers!

December has been a whirlwind of chaos! Appointments in Cincinnati, Florence, and Lexington for hospitalizations, follow ups, the flu, the stomach bug,starting new treatments, car problems, to mom falling again the entire family has ran all month but I wouldn’t have it any other way. AJ got to be home with us this month which is a great blessing! Even though everyone has been sick we still had the opportunity to spend time together and help each other. I can’t thank Justin, AJ, Taytum, Amber, Brylee, Isaac, Leigh and too many others to mention that have always been there for us and are just a call away.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I can’t wait to see what next year has in store for us!

Taytum had an appointment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Monday and I started feeling rough on the drive there. As soon as we finished her appointment we ended up in the ER at UC where I finally got admitted for an infection. The plan was to get discharged on Wednesday but I started running a fever. Hopefully I can get discharged tomorrow!

Headed back to Cincinnati in the morning for more labs. I finally got to stop taking two medications but still have to go every two weeks for labs. My creatinine is increasing again and I’m still tired all the time but feel so much better than I did on dialysis.

This is the first week in forever that I don’t have any appointments to go to! I have been resting & slowly working on cleaning the house. It has been so nice! Back to Cincinnati next week though, those appointments drain me but I am so grateful that I have a new kidney.
