We talk about being “tired” as parents—but exhaustion is only part of the story.
The motherload is the constant mental, emotional, and invisible labor of parenting. The planning. The worrying. The holding it all together.
When that load goes unshared and unspoken, we feel the burnout, anxiety, isolation, and overwhelm.
You’re not weak for feeling this way. You’re carrying too much alone.
It’s time we name it. Talk about it. And support parents the way they actually need.đŸ©·

As we step into the new year, here are a few gentle reminders—especially for new and new again parents.
đŸ©·You don’t need a “fresh start” to care for yourself. đŸ©·Rest counts.
đŸ©·Mixed emotions are normal.
đŸ©·Your journey is yours, exactly as it is.
Take what resonates and leave the rest. Wishing you a gentle start to the new year!

Oh, Mama.

All of this. We know that just being present is what makes the season special for your family, but there is SOOO much pressure to do all the things: cards, gifts, cookies, elves
it’s so easy to become overwhelmed this time of year. Deep breaths. You can’t do it all, nor should you.
Hug your babies. Rest. Take a second (since that’s the bar we are all at these days!) to acknowledge the moment you’re in: it’s wild and crazy but you are here and you have each other. Sometimes love looks like chaos, endless feedings, diaper changes and a messy home. ‘Tis the season, Mama, and I promise it won’t be this way forever. You will make it through, too.

Sending lots of love and wishing you all a gentle holiday,

Introducing the newest facilitator of Beyond the Baby Blues Mom-to-Mom Support Group!đŸ©·đŸ€©
Let’s give a warm welcome to Seana!.doula

Hi, I’m SeanađŸ€

I’m a mom of three, a postpartum doula, PMH-C & CLSE. I’m deeply passionate about being there for people during vulnerable seasons, and I believe support should feel human, compassionate, and free of judgment.

After the birth of my first child in 2019, I experienced postpartum depression along with postpartum anxiety and rage. What made that time especially confusing was that I loved my baby deeply and still struggled. Becoming a mother brought up unresolved family dynamics, intense emotional shifts, and a level of overwhelm I wasn’t prepared for. For a long time, I thought something was “wrong” with me, rather than recognizing that I was navigating PMADs without enough support.

With the guidance of a provider, I decided to try medication, and over time I began to feel more like myself again. Everyone’s path looks different, but that experience showed me how powerful the right support can be and helped me go on to have two more pregnancies without experiencing postpartum depression or anxiety.

I’m honored to be facilitating this group and so grateful to be part of a community that reminds moms they’re not aloneđŸ€
