‼️This news made my week:

To follow up with this post, this past week was the first week EVER that this patient has been ACCIDENT FREE!! 🥳

She follows up with her urologist this weekend to try and get her off of her meds! 🙌🏼

🤩Patient Win:

‼️ 7 year old with daytime wetting 4-5 times a day with no notice or warning, on meds for that and constipation. Urologist states her bladder is only able to hold 45% of max capacity. Imagine the stress and frustration of the parent.

⭐️ 2 adjustments in and her daytime wetting has gone down to 2 times per day and had normal bowel movements over the weekend without her usual drugs! 🙌🏼

I CAN’T SLEEP 😳🤬


With quarantine in full affect for a few weeks now and the consistent outpouring of negative news, our ANXIETY has gone through the roof and has affected our ability to sleep. I often hear from patients that they have an unbelievable amount of anxiety, so you are not alone.


😴 Here are some tips to reduce anxiety and stress levels, and help you get a better nights SLEEP:

🏋🏻‍♀️ Exercise-
➖Gyms and parks may be closed, but this is a great opportunity to try something new. Do some pushups, crunches, squats, run around your block, or just run in place. Try yoga for the first time (there are many great options to choose from on YouTube). There are also many home training programs available for little-to-no cost!

🍫 Eat less sugar-
➖Sugary foods will burn energy fast and keep us wired through the day. This can also upset your stomach at night, preventing you from getting a good nights rest.

🤳🏼Avoid blue-light use before bed-
➖Blue-light tricks your body into believing it is still daytime, hence your body will want to stay awake. Cut out phone and TV use 1 hour before bed to avoid restlessness. The National Sleep Foundation recommends restricting phone use 30 minutes before bed, but go the extra mile to avoid any chance of sleeplessness.

😤Deep Breathing-
➖Breath in through your nose and let your belly fill and expand, then exhale through your mouth and let your belly flatten, Repeat. This is a great way to center yourself, calm your mind, reduce stress.

🦴Get Adjusted-
➖Chiropractic adjustments have been shown to shift your nervous system from “Fight or Flight” mode to “Rest and Digest” mode.

‼️INCREASED WHITE BLOOD CELL COUNT‼️


“Why are chiropractors staying open during the quarantine?” 🦠

In chiropractic, we often talk about how an adjustment can boost your immune system. This is not hocus pocus!


The pictures below (along with years of research) show proof of exactly that! This is my personal bloodwork with a CBC (complete blood count) run on it today at Ferguson Life Health Centers by Dr. Derek Ferguson.

💉-Blood was drawn and tested (results on left)
🦴 -A specific chiropractic adjustment was delivered
💉- Blood was drawn again (35 minutes after my adjustment) and retested

After the adjustment, my white blood cell count increased from 8.8 to 10! That’s an increase of 1200 white blood cells per microliter, which will help to fight off viruses and bacteria!!

With all the mass panic, it’s easy to be scared. A strangers cough may have you contemplating a hazmat suit for your next outing!

No, this isn’t a zombie plague, nor is it the end of times. It’s just another seasonal virus. But which virus?! And how scared should I be?!

CHIN UP ⬆️

Forward head posture, or Tech Neck, is everywhere!


Increasing use of our phones🤳🏼, computers 💻, games 🎮, and the rest of technology tends to have our heads fall away from our shoulders.


Occupations such as mechanics 🧰, stylists 💅🏼, lab/vet techs🐶, or anyone sitting behind a desk and computer for long hours are being affected as well!


KIDS 👶🏼 today are being affected, due to increased technology use at home and even in schools! This leads to a LIFETIME of improper growth, aches, pains, and various health issues.


❗️Tips for work:
➖Take a 30 second break every 30 minutes to stand, stretch your neck and open up your chest/shoulders, and move those hips
➖Standing desks will help improve overall posture
➖When sitting, roll up a sweatshirt and place it behind your low back


❗️Tips for everyday:
➖Hold your phone at eye level while texting
➖Lay on your bed and let your head hang off the end for at least 2 minutes
➖Limit technology use
