Occupational therapy doesn't have to look a certain way- it's the results that count.

We resonate with this deeply. For children, play is serious work! Through play children regulate their emotions, calm their sensory systems and build strength and coordination that makes other daily tasks a breeze (like getting dressed without protesting or sitting at their desk all day).

Play is the highest form of research according to Albert Einstein.

The older kids get, free, unstructured play tends to take a backseat to “more important” tasks to check off ever growing to-do lists. Or maybe unstructured play turns into structured play and physical play turns into sedentary play. It’s not uncommon for the type of play to change over our lifetime. Or to disappear altogether.

Why is that?

Play doesn’t lose all its benefits because we had another birthday.
