A little beauty for your nervous system today. Turn on the sound, and take a deep breath in, slow exhale out. Give yourself this moment to settle. Sending you peaceful thoughts as you go through your day.

My Place for Peace will be attending the Wellness Wednesday Workshop at DVRHS on April 2nd! Your well being is so important. Join us here to learn about different methods you can use to support yourself.

We invite you to explore the practice of mindfulness and discover ways to incorporate it into your daily life. Alison, a Dance Movement Therapist specializing in somatic healing, can guide participants through meditations and body scans to deepen their connection to the present moment. Kate, a Certified Harp Therapist, will demonstrate how musical vibrations can enhance mindfulness and support the healing process.

For those interested in learning how to practice at the Wellness Fair, we will come equipped with the tools needed to engage these exercises in person. If you prefer to learn at your own pace, we will also offer different informational resources to take home with you and help you integrate mindfulness on your own.

Many individuals find themselves navigating through anxiety, depression, and a wide range of feelings during the holidays as time with families, extra pressures to get gifts, and even those “fun events” can feel like a burden when there is too much happening in your life.

Gosh, the trees are breathtaking and pumpkin spice is everywhere, but how are you feeling? This time of year, we can feel more tired, or maybe we don't feel like going out as much. Most of the time, it is completely normal to slow down with the colder months.
Here's how you can give yourself a boost:
1. Get outside in the morning for 10-15 minutes. Take some deep breaths while admiring the season's changes.
2. Increase the amount of sunlight in your day by sitting near windows, or some walking breaks throughout the day.
3. Explore ways to feel connected with others, book clubs, coffee with a friend, a watch party of your favorite show with someone you enjoy spending time with.

At My Place for Peace, we also recommend mindfulness techniques and somatic work, which means actively engaging in ways to feel connected and grounded in your own body.

Wanna know a fun way to do this?!?!??
Dance Movement Therapy 💃🕺 this type of therapy promotes health and wellbeing through movement. No experience needed, therapists start teaching you small ways to connect with your body.

Your body already knows what it needs, we help you listen to it.

Helpful for those with chronic health issues, anxiety, depression, grief and more.

Contact us today to schedule your session. We look forward to seeing you. ☺️
