Our Owner & Executive Director, Daniel James Wright D.J., has always believed in giving back to the community however he is able. In his volunteer leadership role as President of the Board of Directors of Prevention Resources, Inc., D.J. was fortunate enough this week, along with PR CEO & Clinical Director Karen Widico, ED of Support Service Meghan Moore, and ED of Prevention Services Erin Cohen, join the Superintendent of Veterans Haven North, David Culley, for a tour and a valuable talk about how the two organizations can help one another. We are so lucky to have these veterans in our community and have such an amazing opportunity to help them in so many ways. Veteran’s Haven North is a 75-bed transitional housing program for homeless military veterans that offers veterans an opportunity to address life skills issues and ready themselves for a successful reintegration into the community. Nestled on a beautiful mountaintop in Lebanon Township, the facility is a clean and sober residence hall that provides an array of supportive services to our veterans for up to two years. Some services include substance abuse counseling, vocational rehabilitation, stress management, money management, health and wellness and anger management - all centered on the veteran and the personal goals they wish to achieve.

The Haven’s highly experienced staff ensure that homeless veterans are treated and cared for in a dignified, compassionate, and professional manner to reach an optimal level of independence and aid them in re-acquiring the life skills and ability to live in the community, while maintaining their self-sufficiency, dignity, and honor.
