These floors of ours are 98 years old.
They have been walked on by many patrons and business owners throughout the years.
Thanks to Mr. Butterfield and his following successors, the FIM Capitol Theatre and its storefronts are a place we get to call home.
They have seen the uprising, the downfall, the revival, and the celebration of what Flint, Michigan is today.
Our floors have had flowers, candy, clothing racks, tax papers and so much more above them.
They are the ground that have brought in wonderful people who support their local economy. Each business has been a beautiful part of this building's history.
When you come to 81Ohm Massage and Co. for massage therapy, acudetox, therapeutic stretching, yoga, or events held by our subtenant's, you are not just visiting a downtown business, you are a part of the history.
History is yesterday, and every day before that.
These floors have seen quite a bit of history, more than any of you reading this (unless you are over 98 years old and proficient at social media, our apologies😅).
When you walk in to our space, it smells good, the plants are healthy, the artwork and lighting is designed to calm your mind and body, but our floors were kept as original as possible besides a little buff.
The scuffs are our reminder that so much life has happened here, and that is more gorgeous to us than anything else could replace.
All walks of life are welcome here to relax, reflect, celebrate, mourn, prepare, and to pause.
Thank you for being a part of our history.
