Join us for Breaking Barriers Day: A celebration of Michigan's disability community

Join us at the Lansing Shuffle on June 23, 2026, for the opening reception of the Breaking Barriers Art Exhibit. Artwork by artists with developmental disabilities from across Michigan will be featured in the exhibit.

You'll have an opportunity to explore the exhibit, connect with artists, and take part in activities that celebrate the disability community. Enjoy interactive activities, resource booths, family-friendly entertainment, and more!

After the art reception, you are invited to join us at Jackson Field for a sensory-friendly baseball game. Attendees will enjoy an accessible, inclusive ballpark experience.

The Lansing Lugnuts have made efforts to accommodate fans with sensory sensitivities, including reducing announcements, PA volume, graphics, and promotions. This sensory-friendly experience is part of their commitment to making baseball accessible and enjoyable for all.

Breaking Barriers Day is about bringing people together in a way that is welcoming, engaging, and inclusive. Register today and be part of a celebration that highlights creativity, builds community, and creates space for every voice.

Hey Everyone!

I’ve been getting a lot of calls and emails regarding our Crave Career Quest summer program!

Here are some answers to our FAQ!

- REGISTRATION OPENS MAY 1ST at 9 am

-Student’s must have an Open Case with Michigan Rehabilitation Serves (MRS)
If they DO NOT, please reach out to MRS and mention our program.
If they DO, reach out to your counselor and mention our program.

-The program will be Mon-Thu - 10 am - 3 pm

- This is a first come, first serve opportunity

- This program was crafted to lead youth with disabilities down an exploratory path of learning their skills and potential career interest.

- This program would benefit student’s who may not have a lot of knowledge of what they would be good at or what careers are available to them. WE BELIEVE IN THINKING OUTSIDE THE STIGMAS!

- Students will receive a $500 stipend for their participation.

- We will have several field trips throughout the 8 weeks. This is a mobile, interactive learning experience.

- We accommodate all students in a loving, inclusive, and empathetic learning environment.
