Fun fact: the retina in the back of the eye is only place in the body where blood vessels can be observed LIVE. Dr. Waters does this through a dilated eye exam and through retina photos. This type of exam is especially important for people with diabetes, since high blood sugar can damage blood vessels and cause swelling. Everyone with diabetes should have a yearly dilated eye exam to prevent damage to their vision. Dean just had cataract surgery with the Symfony lens implant and says he's looking forward to enjoying Flint Firebirds games with good vision. Christine and Andrea from our office have been best friends with Nancy since childhood, and Nancy just had cataract surgery with the Symfony lens implants.
