IGEN - At the forefront of cutting edge neurosurgery, where all neurosurgical conditions be they complex or straightforward, receive individualized treatment. Each patient's condition is unique. We will do technologically complex vascular procedures, or ground breaking minimally invasive interventions, as needed. Sometimes, surgery is not the answer and good results are achieved with nonsurgical

techniques. Our patients are informed of all their options, including those that are not surgical. When the answer is a straight forward procedure, we will offer the same. Our goal is to provide our patients the best possible care. IGEN- is also proud to be an active contributor to education and research. Our Chairperson, Dr. S.H. Khan is a widely published author of many journal articles and book chapters. She is a reviewer for internationally recognized professional neurosurgery journals. She has made presentations and acted as a moderator at international conferences. She has also instructed as faculty member at neuroendovascular courses. Dr Khan's clinical and surgical expertise in neurosurgery including endovascular neurosurgery, stroke and neurotrauma, is complimented by a foundation in bench research in these fields. Dr. Khan is a Clinical assistant Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University.

Usually, a spry, double amputee with uncontrolled hypertension and diabetes who took a lot of over the counter pain meds for headache. PTT was found in the 50s. One’s zest for life and will to survive matters. After evacuation of the blood clot, the patient recovered quickly and was back to her animated, voluble self 

When Pain from spine fractures due to osteoporosis, cancer and some other conditions do not respond to medication, there are minimally invasive spinal techniques available that are highly effective. Cement is injected into the fractured spine bone, that can cure the pain. Dr Khan of IGEN, is an expert in such procedures.
