URC's preparations for the Fruits of Our Labor Agricultural Project are underway, with Thomas Excavation Co. having completed land clearing and leveling on the ARPA and LDS-funded 5.5-acre site in Civic Park's Unbuntu Village.

The effort by the URC to develop an international portal within Civic Park's Ubuntu Village area highlights the richness of African culture and demonstrates how the Executive Director's experiences in Africa and the Mid-Atlantic slave diaspora inform his work in disseminating Ubuntu practices locally and internationally.

The Urban RenaissanceCenter(URC) has a social media hub, offering a community platform where local youth and residents of Flint can share their stories, showcase their creativity, and express their opinions. Recently, students from Howard University visited this hub as part of their Alternative Spring Break Tour in Flint. Their inspiring messages of encouragement for Flint's youth will be featured in an upcoming podcast and studio rap production, which will be accessible on both our Facebook and YouTube channels.

The URC extends a warm welcome to Howard University students participating in their alternative spring break program focused on active engagement. The students interacted with local youths in Flint, gained experience in podcasting, and had access to the greenroom and studio. They concluded their visit by leaving a motivational message for the youth in Flint.
