Dr. Jon D. Morey is the founder and author of the Uncivilized Vitality™ method of health and happiness optimization. He is a Chiropractic Physician and Anatomy professor at the University of Michigan – Flint, holds several advanced degrees, and did undergraduate studies in Anthropology and the social sciences. He has held a 5th degree black belt in Korean Hapkido since 2003 and studied at the Kolgulsa Buddhist temple in South Korea earning the Dharma name of SanJeok (“Mountain Tranquility”). Dr. Morey has Asperger’s Syndrome and has always found his balance in the great outdoors. As a child, he loved being outdoors and camping at Black Lake with his grandfather. Dr. Morey nearly made Eagle Scout as a boy and dreamed of living as Robinson Crusoe someday. He continues to research and train in his various areas of interest, the latest of which is, “Back Country”/ Wilderness Emergency Medicine and search and rescue tactics. His other “special interests” (i.e. obsessions) are reading, the human body, and spending time with his wife,
Kerry Ann, and his four amazing sons. Dr. Morey will share his expertise in ropecrafting with a promise that you will never look at knots the same again.
