In furtherance of this purpose, Wellness will continue to:
o Provide and/or advocate for comprehensive and coordinated emotional and physical health care and social services to persons living with HIV and their families. o Facilitate harm reduction for those whose behaviors place them at greatest risk for infection with HIV. Vision

Wellness HIV/AIDS Services, Inc. will be an independent and financially stable agency with a multi-cultural staff and dozens of well-trained volunteers. Based upon detailed marketing and development plans and a record of quality services, the agency will become recognized as the “premiere” HIV authority in the community it serves. The focus and consolidation of the agency’s efforts will be reflected in its comprehensive model for the prevention of HIV and its effects, following three courses of prevention:
o Primary: To raise awareness and prevent new infection
o Secondary: To prevent the onset of symptoms among those already infected
o Tertiary: To prevent morbidity and morality among those who are already experiencing symptoms
All three approaches will be based upon the most current research conducted in both traditional and nontraditional medicine and the behavioral sciences and will rely heavily upon a family systems approach to harm reduction.

Trans Day of Remembrance is a day we hold with our whole hearts.

Today, we honor the Trans lives stolen too soon, locally, nationally, and globally. Each name represents a full life, a story, a dream, a person who deserved protection, joy, celebration, and years they were denied.

We speak their names, we carry their memories, and we refuse to let their lives fade into silence.

We honor who they were, the love they gave, and the futures they should have had.

May their spirits be held in power.
May their memories guide us.
And may we commit to a world where Trans people live long, safe, joyful, liberated lives.

If you feel called, use the comments to name and honor the Trans people you’re remembering today.

On Day 2 of Transgender Awareness Week, we look to the long global history of gender diversity that existed long before today’s language. From the gala priests of ancient Mesopotamia to the babaylan spiritual leaders of the Philippines, from gender-fluid figures in early Japanese theater to the respected roles within African and Indigenous American communities, Transgender and gender-diverse people have always shaped culture, spirituality, and community life. Their stories remind us that Trans history is human history.

As we honor this legacy, we invite our community to learn, uplift, and advocate.

Wellness Services remains committed to being a brave, affirming space where every person can access support, care, and belonging.

Transgender Awareness Week is a time to learn, listen, and take action. Trans people have existed across every era, from Two-Spirit leaders in Indigenous nations to Hijra communities in South Asia who have been recognized for thousands of years. Their impact on culture, art, activism, and community care has shaped history in powerful ways. This week, we honor that legacy and continue the work of creating a world where every trans person is seen, respected, and safe.

Whether you’re out, not out, or somewhere in between, you are seen, valid, and worthy just as you are.

Coming out is deeply personal, and there’s no timeline, no one way, and no expiration date on being your authentic self.

Be who you are, safely and proudly, in your own time.

Happy Coming Out (or not) Day ❤️
