I received an email yesterday from one of our former patients at the The Luke Project 52 Clinic of Flint. To all of you who have volunteered, donated, or prayed for us, this is God's answer!

"I was a patient last year, having come to the clinic only about 6 months after I had an abortion that nearly killed me. I was
pregnant again and scared but your clinic helped save my life, and my babies life. It was within the walls of your clinic that I experienced the love and safety of Jesus for the first time. I was baptized while pregnant and I've been blessed to share my testimony with my women's Bible study group that I attend. My testimony shows what a powerful loving God we serve,
and how only through Him we are able to turn our story of sin into a story of redemption. My bible study group consists of 12 women, all mothers, who have been greatly impacted by my testimony and understand what a critical role the Luke Project played in me surrendering my life to Jesus and saving my baby. We are so blessed to be able to offer ourselves up for service in the community and it would be an HONOR to give back to your clinic." May God bless each of you at the Luke Project. Thank you!"

A facebook post from one of our Moms at the Luke Project 52 Clinic of Flint. She said, "God is sooo good!!! I can absolutely say that all of you at the Luke project played a pivotal role in my surrendering my life to Jesus and becoming the mommy I thought I'd never be able to be. I think about you all so often. I'll never forget some of those conversations in the doula room with you ladies and feeling Jesus holding me so tight in there. Those were some of the safest moments Ive ever experienced in my whole life. God bless you and everyone at the Luke project, you all helped save me and baby. 💙"

Just some of the prescriptions dispensed at no cost to our Moms at clinic last week. We thank God for all our ministry partners who make it possible for us to "save babies, change lives, and build community for Christ".

We love our babies! The Luke Project 52 Clinic of Flint has had 119 babies born to Mommas we provided prenatal medical care and immunizations by our volunteer medical team, pharmacy needs, doula led prenatal education, groceries at each appointment, baby supplies and equipment through Benjamin's Closet, insurance navigation assistance, but best of all....UNCONDITIONAL LOVE!

Jen Kosakowski and I at our display table for the The Luke Project 52 Clinic of Flint at the South and East Pastor's Conference of the Michigan District LCMS this past week. Jen is the Team Lead for the Doula Prenatal Education program at our clinic. Our lead sonographer Kaitlin Wilcox developed the poster of in utero baby faces of some of the 115 babies born to our Moms since we started in September 2021. Great opportunity to explain to many that didn't realize we are NOT the Luke Clinic. We are a free, all-volunteer, weekly prenatal medical clinic in Flint where 100% of the donations we receive go directly to benefit our Moms and 0% goes to staff salaries.

Mother's Day is a mixed bag for some. Yesterday morning was very hard for my wife. A mother kneeling at the grave of her adult son is very different than a son or daughter remembering their wonderful mother who has died, and yet...still...there was opportunity for joy in celebrating the confirmation of a granddaughter, receiving flowers from a daughter in Minnesota, and gathering with almost all of the Michigan family. Life is like that isn't it? Sherie said this morning that "yesterday was 100% grief and 100% joy at the same time". It is unexplainable. The closest I can come to explain this is when Jesus said in John 16:20-22 "Truly, truly, I say to you, that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will grieve, but your grief will be turned into joy. Whenever a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world. Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you." For all those mother's who have lost a child I weep with you and pray for that day that in Christ you will see them again, but I also pray that God grant you periodic moments of joy in this difficult life so that you can still have a "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY"!

The Luke Project 52 Clinic of Flint has just received another offer of a $10,000 matching grant. I am brainstorming events to leverage this offer to help our Moms in need in Flint. I am considering a "Concert for Care" inviting volunteer musical groups from around the community to participate. Would need a large venue in Flint to make that happen. We could even give our Moms a red carpet event. What do YOU think? And do you have any ideas that we could consider? Already wrote to Stephen McWhirter to see if he might be interested in headlining the night.
