The office has been closed for patient care for the past 2 weeks due to the COVID-19 crisis, and I was planning to resume seeing patients in the office on April 1st. However, this cannot safely happen. Despite multiple efforts, I was unable to obtain ANY surgical face masks, N95 masks, gowns, or other such PPE to protect my patients, staff, and myself. At this time, I will continue to take care of my patients via telemedicine, until it’s reasonably save to return to normal practices. During normal office hours, there will always be staff to receive your calls and assist you in these difficult times. My staff and I are always thinking about your safety, and will endeavor to do what’s in the best interest of our community.

In January, there will be an about 30% cut in Medicare reimbursement to physicians, unless Congress acts. I have little faith that Congress will act. This will mean the end of health care as we know it in the US.
