This is one of our clients. At first he did not want the bedshaker in his home. The night of his FIRE, it is what saves him and his family. They were outside safe, waiting for the fire trucks.

This is worth sharing.

But don't forget, we should have a smoke alarm on BOTH sides of that door! Obviously, we want to be alerted if the fire is in the living area. But if the door is closed and the fire starts inside the bedroom... We need to know as soon as possible! That's why the minimum code requires us to have an alarm on both sides of that door! But it's our job to be sure ours are working! Test them weekly and ensure they meet the newest standards!

Make sure all exhaust vents from your residence are clear of snow and ice debris, if these outlets become blocked or restricted the Carbon Monoxide will back feed into your residence. Stay safe, stay warm, and check on your neighbors!

PLEASE DO NOT PLUG SPACE HEATERS INTO POWER STRIPS...they cannot handle the extra energy. 65,000 fires in the last year in the U.S.
With the cold temps, there is a lot of space heaters running. Its not safe!

Portable generators are great devices as the weather gets cold or after a big storm. However, they can also be dangerous if not used correctly.

Improper use of portable generators can lead to deadly carbon monoxide (CO) poisoning. Carbon monoxide is an odorless, colorless, tasteless gas that can build up quickly in enclosed spaces, making it a silent killer.

When using a portable generator, use these safety tips:
Always place generators outside, at least 20 feet away from windows, doors, or vents.
Never use a generator inside your home, garage, or basement.
Install carbon monoxide alarms in your home to alert you of dangerous levels of CO.
