NARCAN® brand naloxone nasal spray saves lives by reversing the effects of an opioid overdose. Anyone in Michigan can take a 1-hour class via Zoom on Sunday (May 28th) at 4:00 pm to learn how to properly administer this life-saving drug. The Rapid Overdose Response System is a new Families Against Narcotics project that aims to provide prescription drug misuse (PDM) education, increase the use of PDM data for the purpose of enhancing real-time decision-making, and deploy naloxone/prevention resources throughout the state of Michigan. This is a 5-year project made possible by a grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). To assist us in the project, we're asking you to take a community assessment survey. The goal of this survey is to strategically target prescription drug misuse education sessions and naloxone training/distribution in communities across the state.
