In 1910, the Rock Holiness Church was organized; the first Holiness church in this area. Andrew Jackson and Zelphia Knowles donated and deeded two acres of land to three brothers, Lee, William, and Seabern Golden, who wanted to start a Free Holiness Church. The Knowles and Golden families, along with two trustees, Henry Presley and Frank Sunday, and many other families worked hard to build the chu

rch from the ground up. Andrew Jackson Knowles built the pews and pulpit that are still in the church. Albert Golden built and erected the beautiful archway located at the entrance to the church and cemetery.
