The DAISY Foundation expresses gratitude to Nurses with programs that recognize them for the extraordinary compassionate, skillful care they provide patients and families. By honoring compassionate nurses, DAISY reinforces the importance of compassion in healthcare. The nationally recognized DAISY Award® is a special honor given to extraordinary nurses for the compassionate contributions they make every day going above and beyond expectations in science and sensitivity. Receiving a DAISY award means you have made a difference in the life of a patient, family, or colleague that they will never forget, and you join a worldwide community of extraordinary nurses, nursing faculty, and students.

Yesterday we celebrated and awarded our 3rd annual Daisy Award to Kristen Turner! Congratulations to Kristen!!

Each year CCH hosts a special award ceremony for a recipient of the "I Make A Difference" Award which is open to all CCH employees. They can be nominated by co-workers, patients, families, community members and more! This year we were so proud to have 66 nominees at CCH and we were thrilled to announce that Sherry Jones, Certified Respiratory Therapist was the winner of this year's award. Sherry's nomination read:

"Sherry Jones was in the ER one night and provided amazing care to the ED staff. Had a critical patient that she stayed in the room with the nurse and assisted in multiple aspects of patient care. Due to her help, we were able to turn this patient around and not have to intubate. We would not have been able to provide the great care that we did without her by our side." ~ Nominated by Mandy Wilson, RN

Congratulations to you Sherry!!
