Honored to return to my alma mater, LIU Post 💚, to speak on my journey to becoming a group practice owner.

Once I was in the audience, taking it all in and wondering what my future would look like. Being able to come back and pour into the next generation of clinicians is truly a full-circle moment.

This year, we did a flower bar 🌺 🌹 💐 everyone was able to make a small bouquet and get their well deserved flowers!

Birthdays are a great time to reflect and celebrate yourself! Take time to think of the challenges that were overcome and the accomplishments that were made! I love giving homework to clients that encourage introspection… so now I will practice what I preach!

So grateful to be entering this decade… thanking God for every single thing that has gotten me to this point.

I am grateful for the hardships that taught me how to persevere and make lemonade out of life’s lemons 🍋. Blessed to have an amazing support system of family and friendships that have stood the tests of time.

40 has me feeling like not playing small, embracing who I am, continuing to spread light in the midst of darkness, and taking the advice that I give others. Dreaming big and staying humble because at the end of the day all the Glory belongs to God ! 🙏🏾 💃🏾 🖤🔥🥳🎉

Honored to have Chanel Weathers, MHC-LP representing ROL at the Suffolk County Black Nurses Association’s Annual Tea Party🫖☕️. She delivered an amazing presentation regarding self care for caregivers and even used a guided imagery exercise to help increase mindfulness 🧘🏾‍♀️ as a coping strategy. *(several of us were picturing a beach 🏝️ 😂 )

Thank you for prioritizing mental health for Nurses and allowing us to share about the importance of self care at such a beautiful event!

Practicum and internship are a critical part of our commitment to both the professional field of counseling and to our community. The new interns will receive in-person weekly supervision from licensed therapists and through weekly peer consultation groups. The internship program exposes interns to a variety of client populations and clinical issues.

Did you know.......
