Approximately 4 out of 5 sudden cardiac arrests happen at home. When the heart stops beating, a victim’s chance of survival decreases by 7-10% for every minute that defibrillation is delayed. About half of Americans (49%) have one of three key risk factors that increase their chances for heart disease or having a heart attack: high blood pressure, high LDL cholesterol, smoking, Other medical conditions and lifestyle choices that can put people at risk include diabetes, obesity, and excessive alcohol use. Few victims experiencing sudden cardiac arrest outside of a hospital survive unless a rapid sequence of events takes place in the first few minutes: Recognition and Action, CPR, Defibrillation, Advanced Care. We provide training and skills for all civilians, medical professionals, and mariners as well as safety lectures. Our instructors are approved and certified by the following organizations: American Heart Association (AHA), Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI), American Safety Health Institute (ASHI), OSHA and the United States Coast Guard at the National Maritime Center. We have created a unique section designed strictly for the hotel and hospitality industry which is included when we teach the existing Bloodborne and Airborne Pathogen class. In hotels, motels, and restaurants all over the country. Jobs are being done carelessly while workers contaminate themselves and the people to whom they are attending. Absenteeism has increased, thus lowering productivity and profit. As you may be aware, many states and agencies, including OSHA are mandating that all organizations are required to have basically trained personnel to act as interim first responders until EMTs, Paramedics and other professionals can arrive on the scene. Legislation in May 2001 mandated that all public schools in New York State be equipped with AEDs in their buildings including all sport venues. The “Louis’ Law.” requires teachers and coaches to be certified in CPR/AED (automatic external defibrillators). In recent years, an increasing number of private companies have added AED’s (automated external defibrillators) in office buildings, shopping malls, health clubs and even on commercial airliners. This use of equipment must be by certified people who must have other supportive training covering basic First Aid and CPR. To assist you in meeting regulatory demands and for you to provide a safe environment for your associates, employees and customers, we at AG Specialty Services Inc. would like to help you formalize a training program. We would bring our instructors and equipment to you if needed and if you do have some current certifications, we can provide the renewal training. Payments for courses to be paid in advance.
