The widow of a Line of Duty death with the FDNY is missing. She was last seen going to the gym on December 4th at 12:30 PM and has not been seen since. Last night, her car's location was pinged on East 36th Street in Manhattan, and this morning, a license plate reader captured her vehicle traveling westbound on the George Washington Bridge, heading toward New Jersey. Sue owns a white Subaru with New York plate number KKM9254. Sue suffers from dementia and may appear confused.

The increase in anxiety, depression, traumatic stress , in the law enforcement, emergency services and healthcare professions is a serious crisis. I agree with the author of this article that it is not only in the big agencies like NYPD. We need to focus on increasing the efforts of awareness, education, intervention and treatment without stigma or issues with access to care. More than once a week we hear about individuals in the helping professions fearing issues with their employer if they seek help. There needs to be a systemic approach to address this crisis from the top leaders to the employee and their families.
