😵😵😵Bottom Line: Your health is not worth the risk!
Microneedling and filler should only be performed in a controlled, sterile, and compliant clinical setting under proper medical or advanced aesthetic supervision. Both treatments are lengthy, unlike Botox that only takes a couple of minutes to complete. Completing either of these in an open hair salon endangers both client safety and the provider’s professional standing.

But let’s dive deeper.
💉Dermal fillers are invasive medical procedures. Meaning, you’re introducing product beneath the skin through a needle or cannula. The product stays there, because it’s like a gel, along with whatever has landed on your skin floating around in the air.

💉Microneedling intentionally creates hundreds of thousands micro-injuries/channels (holes) in the skin.

If either are performed in an open salon environment:
• Airborne contaminants, hair, product sprays, and dust can enter those open channels or injection sites.
• Cross-contamination from improperly sterilized tools or surfaces can transmit bacteria, fungi, and even bloodborne pathogens (e.g., Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, HIV).
• Open salons typically lack sterile protocols.

Compromised Treatment Quality
The salon setting can’t offer:
• Controlled lighting, sterile field, or clean airflow.
• Proper aftercare guidance or prescription-strength topicals (like growth factors or sterile hyaluronic acid).
This can lead to poor outcomes, increased downtime, and patient dissatisfaction.

‼️ Any lapse in sterility or professionalism can lead to abscesses, cellulitis, granulomas, or even vascular occlusion with skin necrosis and infection.
