Heat in yoga isn’t just about sweating… it’s about how the body responds to stress.
When we practice in a heated room, the body works a little harder to regulate temperature, circulation increases, and muscles warm more quickly. This gentle stress on the system is actually beneficial. It’s a concept called hormesis - (when small amounts of stress help the body adapt, grow stronger, and become more resilient.)
You might feel challenged during class, but the after-effects are where the magic happens: increased circulation, deeper relaxation, and that grounded, clear feeling that lingers long after savasana.
