Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. It marks the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), a landmark legislation that broke down barriers to inclusion in society. This year's theme, selected by The Arc's National Council of Self-Advocates, is "We Belong Here, and We're Here to Stay". People with disabilities deserve to live full, self-determined lives, just like everyone else.
