We want to make a shout out to our July employee of the month, Jennifer, RN! Jennifer has been nothing but amazing since she has started with us. She brings a wide range of experience to the job and it allows her to truly serve our patients and community in an outstanding way. Patients brag on her all the time and in times of need, she rises to the occasion without fail. One particular time a new patient’s family members reached out and let our staff know that Jennifer had made all the difference and made the hospice choice so easy and smooth. She makes everyone around her laugh, you never know what she is going to come up with but that is what we love about her. Our patients and staff were truly blessed when she joined our team. Big round of applause for Jennifer our July employee of the month.

Meet Breana! 🎉

Breana is our social media specialist for our 19 branch locations in the 5 states that we service. We asked her to discuss her career history and share with us something "fun" and personal, here is what she had to say,

"As of April this year, I have been in the social media, graphic design, and the marketing field for 12 years. I have enjoyed creating all types of designs and have constructed large projects in the past; some of which were vehicle wraps and billboards, and hundreds of small projects throughout my career. I have designed over 100 websites in my profession, our Affinity Hospice site is one that I am most proud of! I get most excited when creating videos because they, "bring to life" a message or inspire emotion out of people. I always say, "I have the fun job", because I really do.

I specifically enjoy working in healthcare because I get the pleasure of seeing our amazing team care for those in need and serve them well with humility, compassion, and grace. I also have the luxury of seeing our patients in each location, with every video or picture that comes across my email. It is a reminder that every life we encounter has a "story" and each person we touch has a family and friends that rely on us to show superior attention and care to their needs. I find it very gratifying to be a part of such a team, one that leads through serving others willingly and diligently.

A fun fact about myself is that I have painted a mural for a theme park!"

Let's give a big shoutout to Charmayne, our amazing caregiver at Affinity Hospice! She went above and beyond the call of duty by taking care of a confused patient who was refusing bath services. Despite the challenges, Charmayne managed to make the patient comfortable by providing excellent grooming services like shaving his face, washing his hair, and taking care of his skin. The doughnuts that she brought in definitely helped too! The patient's wife is incredibly grateful for Charmayne's help and has called her an angel. We couldn't agree more! Thank you, Charmayne, for showing that care knows no bounds and for making a difference in the lives of those you touch.
