About April M. Tillery, M.D. After delivering more than 2,500 babies, and having one of her own, Dr. Tillery wanted to change course. She opened her solo practice in Florence, Kentucky to focus women’s health on gynecological services, including preventive care, minimally invasive procedures, and menopausal medicine. As a holistic practitioner who knows all of her patients’ names, Dr. Tillery provides personalized health care in an intimate setting. Dr. Tillery is passionate about women’s health and provides a number of gynecological services at her practice, including specialized treatment for women with heavy periods and urinary incontinence. As the first physician in northern Kentucky to earn the prestigious designation of Certified Menopause Clinician, she also helps women going through perimenopause and menopause manage their symptoms. Dr. Tillery is also the only physician in the area that offers advanced medical treatment for women, including MonaLisa Touch® laser vaginal rejuvenation and Minerva Endometrial Ablation System for menorrhagia. A native Kentuckian, Dr. Tillery attended Walton-Verona High School in Boone County and received her undergraduate degree from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. She then went to Louisville, Kentucky to complete her medical degree at the University of Louisville’s School of Medicine, and traveled back to Lexington for her OBGYN residency at Good Samaritan Hospital. Dr. Tillery is board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and an active member of the North American Menopause Society. When she’s not busy working, Dr. Tillery enjoys spending time with her husband Steve, lego-obsessed son Daniel, and her parents. When she’s not traveling the United States or abroad, Dr. Tillery likes to unwind with a good book or movie.
