When setting a lifestyle goal, use this simple formulađ
Behavior + Frequency + Timeframe
âď¸Behavior: what exactly will I do?
âď¸When: time of day, days per week, how long?
âď¸Where: location?
âď¸Timeframe: For how long before I re-evaluate progress?
Example: I am going to walk for 20 minutes around the neighborhood with my dog after work on Monday, Thursday and Saturday for the next month.
Make sure your goal is one that you are at least 80% sure you are going to do. If not - figure out what you need to change to make it be 80%. For example- what if it were 2 minutes instead of 20?
You donât need a perfect plan - just one you can actually follow. It is a STARTING place.
